Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible and how to contact us

Kainetics operates this study-tracking service. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or deletion requests, email kainetics01@gmail.com.

2. Information you provide

• Account and profile: email address and sign-in identifier; name, username and profile image if you add them.
• Study records: syllabus and topic progress, confidence, chapter notes, revision records, test names and marks, mistakes, concept notes, study plans, focus sessions and related preferences.
• Messages: information you include when you contact support.

3. Information handled by your browser and providers

The tracker uses browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences and pending changes. When you sign in and cloud sync is available, tracker records are synced to a Kainetics database hosted by Supabase. Hosting and security providers may process technical request data such as IP address, browser details and server logs. The website requests font files from Google Fonts.

4. Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and shares the account details needed to create or access your Kainetics account, such as your email and profile name or image where available. Kainetics does not receive your Google password. Google’s own privacy policy applies to its handling of your information.

5. How information is used

• Create and secure accounts, sign you in, and sync your records across sessions.
• Show your study progress and operate tracker features you choose to use.
• Respond to support requests, diagnose issues and protect the service from misuse.
• Meet legal obligations and handle disputes or security incidents.

The interactive preview on the landing page is sample-only: entries there are temporary and are not saved to your tracker account.

6. Who information is shared with

Information is shared with providers only as needed to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and cloud data, Google when you choose Google sign-in, Vercel for website hosting, and Google Fonts for typefaces. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, Kainetics or the public. We do not sell your study or account data.

7. Storage, sync and backups

Some information remains in your browser. Signed-in study records are stored in the cloud to support account sync. The tracker also provides a backup/export option; downloaded backups are your responsibility to protect. Service providers may process information in the regions where their systems operate.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep account and study information while it is needed to provide your account and the tracker. To request deletion, email kainetics01@gmail.com from your account email and tell us whether the request concerns a student under 18. We may retain limited information where required by law or needed to address security, fraud or disputes. Browser copies and backups you downloaded may need to be deleted separately by you.

9. Students under 18

Students under 18 may use Kainetics only after a parent or legal guardian has reviewed this policy and the Terms of Service and given permission. A parent or guardian may contact us at kainetics01@gmail.com to ask about or request action on the student’s account. Please do not submit information about another person without permission.

10. Your choices and requests

You can edit information in your account and use available backup tools. You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise a concern about how information is handled. We will respond under applicable requirements.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No website or electronic storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so use a strong, unique password and avoid putting highly sensitive information in study notes.

12. Changes to this policy
